Maybe there is a god

We all heard about the devastation caused in Thailand (and other countries) from the tsunami. But seeing this in person was compelling. This boat (and many others) was washed more than 1 km inland and just stopped short of devastating the house seen.
These are from my recent trip to Khao Lak with Habitat for Humanity. I could use a few tips to help fund my next build with them.

“Nice photos and for a good cause... Here's $1!”
“this is the sort of thing that people here can't go out and see for themselves. i thank you for posting it here for us to see”
“If you're worried about people dying without reason, clean water goes a long way too. Personally, what's up with bottled water in this country? Can't we just fess up and say we've all been peeing in the reservoirs for years? Where do you think Coke, etal, gets their water? That's right, the reservoirs. AND then they pee in it again. It's kinda like the whole spitting in your food at the restaurant deal. Someone's angry and someone's food gets a wee bit of extra saliva. The real question is: who is the recipient? Not me!”
“Leaving these boats so far inland will serve as a reminder, I'm sure -- but these are the people least likely to forget. We should drop a few of these boats far inland in some of the world's other major cities, so the rest of us don't forget that day.”
